Aiming big, BMW, the world’s largest luxury car maker

BMW, the world’s largest luxury car maker, is having a dream run in India despite the global slowdown. The German major’s Indian arm has been able to sell off 2,908 cars in 2008. Looking at the current success, it has decided to launch five new models. It has already unleashed the brand new model 7 Series sedan and the new 3 Series sedan for the Indian target audience. The other luxury models, which are going to make their way in the Indian market are SUV X6 and X3 Zdiesel and a new sports model later this year. Future Indian launches would also include two variants of the new 7 Series model. With these launches, it plans to give Mercedes Benz a run for its money.
